Did you know? The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) is the cultural event of the autumn season, taking place all over Europe on the weekend of September 17 and 18. For the occasion, Paris and the whole of the Île-de-France region reveal their treasures during this event, which features free visits, unusual events and unusual places that open their doors for the occasion. Head off to the Hauts-de-Seine to discover this strange building, which has been standing in the middle ofIle Séguin in Boulogne-Billancourt since 2017 (and which celebrated its 5th anniversary last April). Imagined as a "musical destination", Seine Musicale boasts an imposing 6,000-seat "La Grande Seine" concert hall, a 1,150-seat auditorium and various rehearsal and recording spaces.
Designed by architects Jean de Gastines and Shigeru Ban, La Seine Musicale is an architectural challenge, since theauditorium sits on the Seine and "its wooden shell seems to float on the Parisian river". During the Journées du Patrimoine 2023, discover all the secrets of this venue, which has quickly become an essential part of the region's cultural life.
Come and discover Les Extatiques, an open-air contemporary art trail!
Les Extatiques offers a sensitive and artistic stroll in an exceptional architectural setting on the Ile Seguin and at Paris la Défense. The international artists invited to the island this year are : Joëlle Allet, Jérémy Gobé, Philip Haas, Cornelia Konrads, Julien Salaud and Bob Verschueren.
Based on the 4 elements - fire, air, water and earth - the exhibition features original works that play with the Seine musicale and its unusual architecture.
Guided tours take place every hour from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last tour leaving at 5 p.m.

An opportunity to (re)discover the building designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, in association with Frenchman Jean de Gastines, inaugurated 6 years ago in April 2017. La Seine Musicale, a venue for all kinds of music, is being fully unveiled during the European Heritage Days, with numerous activities on offer.
