Every year, European Heritage Days are the occasion to discover or rediscover legendary flagships. In Paris, many tours are to be held between major institutions, libraries and archives, and even secret places.
Some monuments – recently inaugurated – are also likely to gather a lot of people, such as the Hôtel de la Marine.
On Saturday September 18 and Sunday 19, 2021, this iconic monument on the Place de la Concorde opens for the 38th edition of European Heritage Days for tours to the sound of the Confident.
Equipped with connected headsets, you will be immersed in the heart of the rooms of the Hôtel de la Marine. You can discover the refurbished 18th century steward’s apartments, the formal lounges as well as the loggia and its exceptional view on the Place de la Concorde through 3 sound tours to choose: Voyage dans le temps, En famille, and Siècle des Lumières. Three ways to find out more about the Hôtel de la Marine.
Architectural building designed in the 18th century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel – the King’s Head Architect – until 1798, the Hôtel de la Marine housed the steward of the Crown before becoming, over two centuries later, the headquarters of the minister and then the general staff of the navy.
Careful though, tours are free of charge but upon online booking only.
