For this 39th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, the Hôtel de la Marine in Paris opens its doors to you on Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17, 2023. An opportunity to discover this emblematic monument on the Place de la Concorde.

For this 40th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, this emblematic monument on the Place de la Concorde will be opening its doors to visitors on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17, 2023. And let's face it, you're in for a real treat as you discover this monument from the time of the Garde-meuble de la Couronne, or the Al Thani Collection, which brings together masterpieces from Antiquity to the present day. Visits to theHôtel de la Marine are also an opportunity to admire the sumptuous state rooms and enjoy an exceptional, unobstructed view of the Place de la Concorde from the loggia.

Created in the 18th century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the King's first architect, theHôtel de la Marine housed the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne until 1798, when it became the headquarters of the Ministry and then the Naval Staff for over two hundred years.
