Every year, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) provide an opportunity for visitors to open their doors and rediscover the beauty of the Paris region. This year, for the 40th edition, we're getting out our walking shoes and heading off to enjoy a historic monument, a château or even some surprising places we pass by every day, without paying much attention to them, especially the metro and the RER! RATP is opening up a number of sites to the public, so you can discover the region's rolling heritage, with a host of events on the program!
Every year, this free event attracts thousands of visitors curious to learn more about public transport. Once again this year, you're invited to go behind the scenes of the public transport authority, to gain a better understanding of the day-to-day running of the network and its evolution. You'll also be able to take a trip back in time on buses and subways of yesteryear, take part in a guided tour of the metro, take part in family workshops, and even go behind the scenes of future stations!
Please note that some visits require registration on the RATP website, from September 5, 2023!
