The Ministry of Economy and Finance turns 30 on European Heritage Days – September 21 and 22, 2019. Tour of the ministers’ hotel, guided tours, Bercy beehives as well as ziplining and abseiling, dog training demonstrations, the program sounds really nice!
CAREFUL: Due to different demonstrations in Paris, some places may have to change their plans for European Heritage Days. We recommend you to inquire before heading there. A non-exhaustive list is available here!
For safety reasons, the visit of the Ministry is only open to prior registration.
Every year, European Heritage Days are the occasion to visit Bercy, this building designed in 1989 by Paul Chemetov and Borja Huidobro housing the ministers’ offices, the technical wings and the works ordered by the administration to Bourdelle, Jeanclos and Pierre Soulages.
This year, Bercy turns 30 years old and has a lot of fun entertainments in store such as a zipline set above the main courtyard (departing from the ministers’ hotel terrace) and abseiling down the sides of the Vauban building. You can also meet customs dog trainers and discover the beehives.
Last but not least, you’ll have the beautiful surprise to leave through the Porte d’Honneur, the biggest door in Europe made of 50 bronze panels adorned with sculptures representing the four seasons, the whole while walking across the Cour d’Honneur Robert Schuman.
