The Ministry of Economy and Finance often holds tours of Bercy, all year around, to highlight its works of art and the building's architecture. Every year, European Heritage Days are the occasion to visit Bercy, this building designed by Paul Chemetov and Borja Huidobro in 1989. The tour starts with the presentation of a big model to have a look at the five Bercy buildings housing ministries. This year, the minister expects you on Saturday September 18 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday 19, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to visit the building.
Start your tour with the presentation of a big model to look at the five Bercy buildings housing the ministries. Then, head to the Hall Beregovoy and the four monumental paintings (by Matta, Alechinksy, Rebeyrolle, Titus-Carmel), the tile by Guy de Rougement, and the Porte d'Honneur by Jeanclos, as well as the Statues des Douves that are part of the 1% mandatory artistry works of art in institutions.
The tour continues at the Hôtel des Ministres with the presentation of the hall and the rotunda, the gallery of portraits of the different ministers of finances, the Salon d'Honneur Michel Debré, the dining rooms and the Pierre-Mendès France conference hall!
This year, tours will be completed in small groups, upon booking on the ministry website starting from Monday September 6. An exhibition will present the cureent missions of the Ministry of economy, finances and relaunch including a focus on Bercy's actions amid the Covid-19 crisis at the end of the tour.
