The Petit Palais is taking part in the Heritage Days and offering us plenty of activities for kids, on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September 2018.

To mark the 35th Journées du Patrimoine, the Petit Palais is opening its doors to us free of charge on September 15 and 16, 2018, so we can discover the museum's permanent collections,"from ancient Greece to 17th-century Holland, via Renaissance Italy". A weekend that alsoallows visitors to contemplate temporary exhibitions, such as Jakuchu, an 18th-century Japanese painter.

To mark the Journées, the museum is also offering continuous workshops for young Parisians and tourists throughout the weekend. An opportunity for children to discover this museum dedicated to the fine arts.

The 2018 Heritage Days program at the Petit Palais:

  • Oeuvres à sentir - Saturday, September 15 from 10am to 5:30pm, ages 5 and up
Awaken your senses and your imagination by choosing, with an animator, the smells that will reveal the stories behind the works. A fun way to get young children interested in art.
  • Dessin en herbe - Saturday September 15 and Sunday September 16, 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., ages 3 and up
Color, draw and stamp templates inspired by the architecture of the Petit Palais. From mosaics to the dome, the museum will hold no secrets for your little ones.
  • Drawing in the Garden - Saturday September 15 and Sunday September 16, 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., ages 7 and up
Come and draw, with the museum's plastic artists, the flora and architecture of the Petit Palais Garden. From its luxuriant plants to its peristyle and garlands of flowers and foliage, discover the Petit Palais from every angle (duration: 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.).
