This September, on Saturday 15 and September 16, 2018, the Petit Palais takes part in European Heritage Days and offers us lots of activities for children.

On the occasion of the 35th European Heritage Days, the Petit Palais opens its doors for free on September 15 and 16, 2018 to discover the museum’s permanent collections, “From the Ancient Greece to 17th-century Holland via Renaissance Italy”. A weekend allowing too to gaze at the temporary exhibitions such as Jakuchu, Japanese painter from the 18th century.

On these days, the museum also offers small Parisians and tourists workshops all weekend long non-stop. The occasion to show children this museum dedicated to fine arts.

On the menu of these European Heritage Days 2018 at the Petit Palais:

  • Works to smell - Saturday September 15 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., starting 5 years old
Awake your senses and your imagination by choosing, with a host, the smells that will reveal the stories of works. A playful approach to attract young ones to art.
  • Drawing in the making - Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., starting 3 years old
Color, draw, stamp patterns inspired by the Petit Palais architecture. From the mosaics to the cupola, the museum will hold no more secrets to our dear angels.

  • Drawing in the Garden - Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., starting 7 years old
Come and draw with the museum’s plastics artists the flora and the architecture of the Petit Palais garden. From its lush plants to its peristyle without forgetting its flower and foliage garlands, discover the Petit Palais from every angle.
