For European Heritage Days 2019 in Paris, the Musée de la Vie Romantique invites you to discover Romantic Paris throughout tours, entertainments and concerts on September 19 and 20, 2020.

As part of European Heritage Days 2020, the Musée de la Vie Romantique takes you to the heart of the 19th century. Between exhibitions, concerts, conferences, and strolls, it will make children and adults dream! And this is the occasion to visit this poetic museum and its green terrace. A haven of peace in the heart of Paris 9th arrondissement, immediately taking us to the romantic era. So, meet on Saturday September 19 and Sunday September 20, 2020 at the Musée de la Vie Romantique for a magical tour. And of course, it is free of charge and open to the entire family!

For half an hour, the guide will present the place as well as the collections. And then it is your turn to play, walk around this wonderful Italian-inspire pavillion that used to be the home of Dutck painter Ary Scheffer. And of course, enjoy the permanent collections from the romantic era, enjoy the courtyard and the garden, and perhaps go for a cup of tea or taste the delicious homemade scones.

Travel to the heart of the Romantic Paris for 1h30 and go for the strolling tour of the Nouvelle-Athène neighborhood (still in the 9th arrondissement), walking in the footsetps of leading figures of romanticism such as George SandVictor Hugo, or even Chopin and Liszt. The museum opens to children from 9 years old. And come early because groups can include maximum 12 people. Meet on Saturday September 19, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

And head to the museum to enjoy an uncommon tour with the "Rendez-vous romantiques". Based on works of art from the museum's collection and literature texts, lecturers tell us about storms and shipwrecks in the romantic movement.

And for music fans, do not miss the 15-minute long mini-concerts performed by students from the Conservatoire de Paris. Depending on the weather, these performances will take place in the rooms of the courtyard. The piano and the cello ensemble will ultimately take you to another time.

Well, this weekend will be booked at the Musée de la Vie Romantique!
