The European Heritage Days 2023 take place on Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17. This unique weekend in the year enables the general public to discover exceptional cultural sites, usually closed to the public or subject to a fee. As every year, the tours offered over these two days are free or at a very reduced price. They cover all types of cultural venues, including cinemas such as the Grand Rex. One of the most emblematic places to visit is the Grand Rex. More than just a cinema, is an iconic venue for the 7th art in Europe. Built in 1932 on the Grands Boulevards in Paris, it is now classified as a "historic monument", thanks in particular to its Grand Hall, the largest in Europe, with a capacity of 2,700 spectators thanks to its 2,000 square meters and its famous starry ceiling rising to a height of almost 30 meters. It also houses a magnificent film studio, the Rex Studio. Come and discover its secrets during the Journées du Patrimoine 2023!

Heritage Days 2023 at the Grand Rex in Paris

On Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17 , 2023, free guided tours of the Grand Rex's main auditorium and backstage area, with anecdotes about the construction of the auditorium in the 1930s, as well as the incredible shows that have taken place there.
