European Heritage Days 2019, planned on September 21 and 22, 2019, are an irresistible event for the History of France lovers. This year, cultural venues gather around the following theme: Arts and entertainment. It was all it took for the Palace of Versailles to unveil a program worthy of the Sun King's parties.
So, for these European Heritage Days 2019 at the Palace of Versailles, more than ever, music is given pride of place. At the same time as the Fountains Shows remaining charged, the estate offers you to go on a discovery of the most beautiful places in the norther wing, with a tour paced by musical entertainments.
Starting from the Opéra Royal courtyard, you'll be amazed by the "Marble Palace", the gorgeous stage background designed by set designer Pierre-Luc Charles Cicéri who worked at the Opéra Royal for the first half of the 19th century. The same decor has been revealed to the public for the last time in 1837 for the Louis-Philippe exhibition.
Then, you'll (re)discover the Cruisade Room, the Louis XIV Gallery before reaching the Royal Chapel where you can admire the great organ from the balcony. All in all, a fantastic immersion to the heart of the French history of which the Palace of Versailles has the secret. Meet on September 21 and 22, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to discover Versailles in music!
