As part of the 37th edition of European Heritage Days, themed on "Heritage and education: learning for life", the Musée des Arts et Métiers offers free guided tours and workshops on the major inventions in this world, for children and adults. Meet on Saturday September 19 and Sunday 20, 2020 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for free workshops for everyone for about 30 minutes. Free admission without necessary booking.
If the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts et Métiers delights a lot of children, it is because it offers a journey through time to discover the major inventions and techniques: scientific instruments, materials, construction, communication, energy, mechanic and transports and we discover thousands of items that changed their time in a very beautiful venue.
Take up the challenge of preserving the heritage for a workshop focusing on different items and materials displayed in the museum. Diagnostic, restoration, packing: this workshop is the occasion to learn more about how to preserve collections in the museum and learn about their specific features. And you will have fun, of course!
