For European Heritage Days 2021, the Château de Vincennes opens the door of its dungeon, the highest one in Europe, for a wonderful discovery. Meet on Saturday September 18 and Sunday 19, 2021 to take part in the many tours and entertainments provided by the castle.

Historic monument with hidden treasures, the Château de Vincennes is highlighted all along European Heritage Days. And even though it is set just outside Paris, many people forget about this fortress that is a vestige with a few records of its own. It is the biggest fortified castle in France still existing and its dungeon is 52-m high and one of the highest ones in Europe. It’s in this very dungeon that were imprisoned Voltaire and the Marquis de Sade.

For European Heritage Days 2021 on September 18 and 19, this fortress unveils its secrets through several tours and entertainments shining a light on the different parts of the castle.

Meet with several federations given pride of place such as hunters, veterans and the genalogy foundation.

Here is a wonderful idea for the weekend. Shall we go, friends?
