For European Heritage Days, Paris City Hall exceptionally opens its rooms usually closed to the public for free tours and workshops on Saturday September 21 and Sunday 22, 2019.

We often walk by the Hotel de Ville de Paris but without coming in. This huge building listed as Historic Monument is wonderful inside and out and you’ll have the chance to see for yourself on September 21 and 22, 2019!

As a matter of fact, Paris City Hall opens to all for European Heritage Days 2019. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., visit this Parisian institution by yourself and enjoy the reception halls richly decorated, discover the library and its countless books as well as the Paris Council room and the Mayor’s Office!

And inside the lounge, the richness of the city of Paris heritage will be explained by the artisans. You can try your hand at stone carving, talk with curators and engineers who will share their passion for the Parisian heritage.

In other words, a tour halfway between discovering political institutions and architectural amazement likely to delights children and adults!
