European Heritage Days 2017 at Paris Louis Vuitton Foundation

This year on European Heritage Days held on Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17, 2017, Louis Vuitton Foundation opens its doors for free. This is the perfect occasion to discover the building thought up by Franck Gehry and its collections.

On the occasion of the 34th European Heritage Days, Louis Vuitton Foundation opens its doors to the public, for free and for visits of the building. For the weekend, the Ministry of Culture does everything to make children find art interesting. Families can discover or rediscover and in free access the singular building created by Franck Gehry also called “the vessel of the Parc de Boulogne” and the collection of the Louis Vuitton Foundation paying tribute to modern art.

Program of European Heritage Days 2017 at the Louis Vuitton Foundation:

  • “Archi Danse!” Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m.
For 2 hours, dancer-choreographer Alice Martins invites children from 6 to 12 years old to discover the soul of Frank Gehry’s creation through a fun and physical exploration. (booking required)

  • “Archi Rhymes” Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
For 1 hour, children from 3 to 5 years old enjoy a tour in the building and take part in game-steps to discover the works between two counting rhymes and poems. (booking required)

  • “Archi Recycling” Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Head to the auditorium with your family to create wooden furniture pieces that you can take home. Helped by the Atelier Chutes Libres team, children draw inspiration from the Foundation architecture to assemble their objects made of old materials.

As a memo, visitors with no children will also be allowed to visit the Foundation for free but no free guided tour will be provided. Think about booking your tickets, an online ticketing service has been created including free tickets to order!
