This year, Paris Jardin d’Acclimatation was supposed to give India pride of place again by celebrating HOLI, the color festival. On Saturday March 17, 2018 since the Parc de la Villette decided to celebrate HOLI as well the following week, the Parc d'Acclimatation has deciced to cancell its own event in order to prevent from creating a duplication, considering this event, a synonym for gathering, joy, peace, couldn't have two simultaneous festivals.
Have you heard of HOLI? This is one of the greatest traditional festival in India, and maybe the most popular one, the happiest and the most colorful! To celebrate the end of winter and the first days of springs, millions of women and men throw colored powder to each other, have fun, sing and dance with traditional music.
At the Jardin d’Acclimatation, the oldest theme park in France, last year, the celebration transported us.
"We give our close colleagues of the Cité des Sciences, with whom we haven't been in touch, the opportunity to set up this event for the first time wishing them, for the good of all, a success as wonderful as the one we've known. In the coming days, we will directly proceed to reimbursing tickets you've booked on our website. Obviously, we thank you for trusting us. We are currently contacting the Indian Embassy in Paris, who benevolently blessed us with its sponsorship, in order to set up other events on our 18 heactares for the world first democracy, this great country we love and respect."
No festival of colors this year at Paris Jardin d'Acclimatation, but you're all expected in May for the reopening of the park with the new theme park currently under construction.
