In order to welcome the 2024 Olympic Games, Paris seems firmly committed to putting on a spurt to beat its rival, Los Angeles. For three days, members of the International Olympic Committee were visiting Paris to assert its file and the project feasibility.
And since Paris thinks on a grand scale, the capital is about to show what it can do. On June 23 and 24, 2017, we will then discover what Olympic Games in Paris could be like. Installations will take over the capital’s most emblematic locations.
Thus, we will discover a diving board on the Pont Alexandre III. The Place de la Concorde will welcome a velodrome. Near the Petit Palais, a BMX track will be set up and the Esplanade des Invalides will be turned into football, rugby, baseball and even Beach Volley fields. At the Louvre, equestrian sports will be given pride of place. Between the Concorde Bridge and the Pont Royal, combat sports will be presented. The Seine river will become the scene of rowing courses and the highlight is the floating athletic field between the Pont Alexandre III and the Pont des Invalides.
This charm campaign, committed to highlighting Paris’ application to host the 2024 Olympic Games, also offers inhabitants and tourists the opportunity to try out different sports and who knows, discover new passions?
