Every year, when sunny days are coming, Parisian terraces and rooftops make every people lacking vitamin D happy! Every year, there are more and more terraces and rooftops springing throughout the capital. In 2018, the rooftop thought to create the buzz is named The Jardin Suspendu.
Thought up by Passage Piéton and Viparis (European congress and fairs leader), this place will be the biggest green rooftop in Paris. To be discovered from June 14, 2018, on the rooftop of a 35000-sqm parking lot of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, in Paris 15th arrondissement, this rooftop-terrace can be “private for brands from Monday to Wednesday and open to the general public from Thursday to Sunday”.
“Viparis pursues its metamorphosis of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles with this exceptional concept created and conducted by Passage Piéton”, Viparis deputy CEO Pablo Nakhle Cerruti says. “We aim at making it a reference park of the 21st century: sustainable, living and functional… After Terminal 7 in 2017, with The Jardin Suspensu this year and waiting for the Mama Shelter and Novotel hotels as well as the largest street farm in Europe next year, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles becomes a true laid-back and attractive place”.
On the menu of this future temporary green rooftop? A food area, several bars, an open-air cinema, DJ sets… For sport enthusiasts, a 150-sqm area will be devoted to this summer soccer event, running from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
Finally, amongst the upcoming events, the Jardin Suspendu plans to host, on June 21, 2018 (the same day as World Music Day) a night in partnership with the Cercle collective. Stay tuned to discover the full program.
