This Friday October 1, 2021, the Eiffel Tower will turn pink for the launching of Pink October in Paris! A wonderful message to support all women (and men) fighting against breast cancer, before a month filled with events to raise funds.

On October 1, the association Le Cancer du Sein, Parlons-En!, now nicknamed Ruban Rose or Pink Ribbon, launches the 28th edition of Pink October in France, its informative operation to raise awareness and support the research against the disease lasting all October long.

This event is vital for the association supporting all year long the medical and scientific research and informing women about the breast cancer diagnostic. If for decades many progresses have been made in the medical research area or for improving the life quality of those affected by this illness, it is essential to keep fighting the disease.

For the launch of this new edition of Pink October, the Eiffel Tower will be lit in pink. A vibrant color we encourage you to immortalize by taking pictures of the Eiffel Tower and share this strong supportive message with men and women - who have cancer or families, relatives, searchers and medical teams - who are fighting against this disease on a daily basis.

One woman in eight is likely to get breast cancer over the course of her life. With this campaign raising awareness about the disease, the Ruban Rose association encourage women to get regularly tested to fight against the disease.

Today, if detected in time, 9 breast cancers out of 10 can be cured. It's huge! But over 58,000 new cases are found every year in France and breast cancers are more important and deadly in women. So, yes, we should keep fighting as long as the disease is here and more than ever, we should be all united by the same color!
