Conceived by event agency Surprize (Concrete, Weather Festival, La Friche Richard Lenoir, Réinventer Paris...) and Allo Floride(Dock B...), Marché Pop will take up residence for four months on a former RATP sports site in the 12th arrondissement.

Under the aegis of executive chef Nino La Spina, of the Grand Cœur restaurant in Paris, Marché Pop will unveil a 400 m² covered space with over 500 covers available.

For their shopping needs, Parisians will find nine counters permanently available at the market, including a butcher, a fishmonger (seafood), a baker, a greengrocer and a wood-fired pizzeria...

Alongside these counters, you'll find three bars, including a tasting cellar (natural wines and beers from around the world).

Summer means barbecue, and Marché Pop will be opening its doors to a 100% Irish space, the Jameson BBQ. On the menu? 500 m² dedicated to lovers of meat and Jameson Irish Whiskey, with three BBQ experiences on offer:

  • Le BBQ Alambic. Here you'll find a selection of Irish meats macerated in Jameson and cooked in France's first still-shaped barbecue.

  • Le Shed. Here, a selection of Irish chefs will take turns offering you a food & cocktail pairing menu prepared entirely on the BBQ.

  • Open BBQ. For barbecue aficionados, opt for the participatory BBQ.

In short, Marché Pop is as much about shopping as it is about picnicking, lunching or dining with friends and family. Alternatively, you can buy produce at the various counters, cook it on the rotisserie or barbecue and enjoy it on site!

To top it all off, Marché Pop is also planning to surprise us with fun activities such as cooking classes and masterclasses, as well as stand-up shows, theater, dance and afternoon concerts to be enjoyed under a giant 500 m² big top with a central stage. And let's not forget the four petanque courts, table soccer, badminton... Just in case you need a bit of exercise after all that!
