Starting late August 2019, Parisians and tourists can discover Nathalie Junod Ponsard’s latest work, Précieuse Brillance, set on the Place de l’Europe – Simone Veil.

8th arrondissement locals and tourists will soon discover, on the Place de l’Europe – Simone Veil, the latest work by international artist Nathalie Junod Ponsard.

Set in late August 2019 as part of the Embellir Paris project, this work called Précieuse Brillance has been created in tribute to the great French and European politics figure Simone Veil was.

Précieuse Brillance represents then a necklace of 36-m wide shining pearls all around the roundabout. All in all, 433 light discs embedded with reflective glass pearls changing colors in turn: blue, yellow, red and green.

Nothing magical in that and no outside energy used: the glass pearls simply catch the surrounding light, reflecting the shininess, according to the day light and how people move around, playing with car lights once the night has fallen.

A lovely color set that the Impressionists in the 19th century – who particularly loved this area – would not have denied!

A work to discover starting this late August!
