In green departments, campsites have been allowed to reopen since Tuesday June 2. Because France is still fighting against the coronavirus crisis, health instructions are to be respected and in all campsites in France! Let’s see what the main changes are.

What about camping this summer? Since May 11, we are allowed to go out again: containment exit has started and the phase 3 is on the horizon! After over two months of lockdown, we are all thinking about planning beautiful holidays in France or Europe. Yes, this year, it is out of the question to break the rule and the issues caused by the Covid-19 health crisis. France now is the only destination possible for French. Let us make the most of it and book holidays in a camping.

But going camping also means you have to be aware of the new health standards implemented. To make it easier, we give you the alterations caused by the coronavirus epidemic, between practical changes and new rules to respect. Of course, as the president of the National outdoor hotel federation Nicolas Dayot said on France Info: “all campsites will not reopen tomorrow”. For now, we must wait for the “finalization and the officialization of the health protocol” main lines have been unveiled this May 15th on the occasion of a press conference held by the federation.

In concrete words, common parts of all campsites are limited to 4-sqm per people with a direction of traffic set up, and the ban to have visitors over. Same call for sanitary facilities, mandatory 4sqm for campers. Without forgetting reinforced cleaning and more often. Like in many stores, disinfection material, such as hand sanitize will be available for all campers. They are invited to clean surfaces by themselves before use!

Moreover, professionals of the sector have agreed to close all covered swimming pools, spas, and other gyms in the different facilities. As for themed parties and other legendary entertainments, the federation asks to “think over” and innovate to respect social distancing rules. As of the reopening, campsites are anticipating health instructions to keep vacationers and staff safe and healthy.
