Paris and its inner suburbs are back on lockdown since Friday October 30, 2020. New restrictions aiming at limiting the spread of coronavirus are added to those already implemented when the new nationwide lockdown was called.
This Thursday November 5, 2020, Paris police releases a decree as for "delivery and take-away sales activities in Paris". In order to prevent "flows and gatherings of people (delivery drivers, patrons)" in the night, delivery and take-away services are banned between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. starting Friday November 6, 2020. Selling alcoholic drinks and drinking them in a public place at the same hours is also banned.
Among the rules already implemented back in late September and passed again are found the ban of selling alcohol as well as drinking alcohol starting 10 p.m. in a public place. A measure aiming at limiting nighttime gatherings.
From now on, as Paris and its inner suburbs are on maximum alert, bars must close down for at least a month depending on the health situation. As for restaurants, they cannot escape the forced closure and must be limited to take-away sales.
