The health situation keeps on deteriorating in Île-de-France. Yesterday it was announced that 40% of beds in ICU in the Île-de-France area were currently occupied by patients infected with Covid-19. And even worse, the agency says the occupation rate is likely to reach 50% “by the next two weeks”
Therefore, this Thursday October 8, 2020, Ile-de-France health agency director general Aurélien Rousseau says on Twitter he “asked heads of the regional health facilities to set the white plan off to unite their resources and anticipate the days to come”.

For the record, the white plan is a crisis procedure of a health facility enabling to “immediately unite means of any kind it has in case of surge of patients, or to face an exceptional health situation”.
The Health Minister says that “the white plan includes ORSAN scheme orientations and identifies the means of health facilities likely to be mustered. It defines the conditions of their employ and especially plans the terms and conditions the necessary staff will have to stay on site or, if need be, called back if the situation justifies so”.
