Tokyo Paralympics: the free fan zone in Paris Trocadero gardens returns

Sporting competition fans will be happy. The free Fan Zone is back from September 2 to 5, 2021 in the Trocadero gardens, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Paralympics. This is the occasion to cheer teams up live and meet the athletes after they won a medal and back from Tokyo.

As spectators from abroad are not allowed to attend Tokyo Summer Olympics and Paralympics, those who will be lucky enough to spend the summer 2021 in Paris will still be able to share a convivial moment with other fans of sports in the Fan Zone specifically set in the Trocadero gardens in Paris from July 23 to August 8, 2021 and from September 2 to 5, 2021.

From July 23 to August 8, 2021:

To inaugurate the event, an opening ceremony hosted by chef Thierry Marx alongside TV host Eglantine Emeyé on Friday July 23, 2021. Even though the two Frenchies will be lucky to present this ceremony from the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, it will be aired on France Télévisions and in the Fan Zone as well.

Furthermore, during the 2021 edition of Paris Plages – scheduled from July 17 to September 13 – the Trocadero turns into a giant sporting complex with many sporting entertainments for the entire family. In addition to air the Olympics non-stop, many sporting entertainments will be provided.

Last but not least, the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (OCOG) stated this Tuesday June 1 a closing ceremony will be held on August 8, 2021 in this very Fan Zone. The occasion for France to welcome the Olympic flag in town since Paris is the next city hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics.

From September 2 to 5, 2021:

Then from August 24 to September 5, 2021, the Olympics welcome the Paralympics, as disabled athletes from all over the world face off one another in a new race for medals. On the menu, 22 competiting sports and 137 French athletes in the run.

On the occasion, the City of Paris, the CNOSF, the CPSF, and Paris 2024 have decided to once again air the games live at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Therefore, supporters, sport fans and more can attend the show in the gardens of the Trocadero for a moment of communion about sport.

On September 5, 2021, as the hand-over ceremony between Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 is held, people are invited to come and experience this exceptional ceremony live from Trocadero.
