Time has come to protest in Paris airports. A first strike notice has been issued for June 18 and 19, 2021. Another one has been issued for early July. Then are involved the Orly and the Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airports.

As the air traffic is resuming since summer is just around the corner, Paris airport employees go on strike. A first strike notice has been issued for Friday June 18, and Saturday June 19, 2021 by the union trades. The reason of their discontent? A working condition-adjustment plan causing their wages to decrease.

Therefore, in Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, travelers are to expect some disturbances. “400 to 500 protestors are expected in Roissy, and a few hundreds in Orly. So far, less than a quarter of the Roissy staff are on strike”, CGT secretary-general Daniel Bertone said according to Le Parisien.

More social movements are to be expected in the period to come. Another strike notice has been issued for the period covering July 1 to 5, 2021. Union trades even confirm extra actions could be led if an agreement is not met with the board quickly.

Therefore, be extra cautious if you have a flight planned the coming weeks: you are highly encourage to take advance and seek information about the ongoing social movements.
