As Covid-19 contaminations keep decreasing in France, this August 30, Pr. Alain Fischer said on BFMTV that “back to almost normal life is rather close”, assuring there “will be no more lockdown, unless another variant”.

All eyes have been set on Denmark for a few days as the country is to lift all restrictions on September 10. A return to normal life envied by many, as new Covid-19 contaminations are still reported on a daily basis in France. But the health situation seems to get better in mainland France, with a steady decrease in new hospitalizations and new cases – according to the latest data shared by Santé Publique France.

This August 30, 2021, interviewed by BFMTV, Vaccinal Strategy Board President Alain Fischer has addressed this infamous return to “almost” normal life. Saying he does not know exactly when this ultimate stage will occur, the immunologist yet estimated “back to almost normal life is rather close” in the country, before calling the French to remain cautious amid the epidemic.

Many activities have resumed” in France, Fischer explained, but “it is true there are limits, and I’m not able” to tell when one will resume activities as before the health crisis. “I’m unable to get in this degree of precision. Back to almost normal life is rather close, but I cannot be more precise than that, because it depends on the population complying with vaccination, health guidelines and so on”, he acknowledged.

Nonetheless, the professor and head of the Vaccinal Strategy Board claimed: “there will be no more lockdown, unless another variant”.

If vaccination is combined to reasonably complying with health guidelines and new therapies… We already are standing in a situation where there will be no more lockdown, unless another variant, but honestly, I don’t think so… there are many reassuring elements”, Fischer claimed on BFMTV.
