Coronavirus: here is what changes in France this Monday January 3rd

The coronavirus epidemic is strongly increasing again in France, leading the government to instate new restrictions and measures. Here is more about what changes this Monday January 3, 2022.

In France, the coronavirus epidemic situation is preoccupying. As the Omicron variant is spreading over the country, becoming now dominant compared to the Delta variant, an explosion in new contaminations caused by Covid-19 has been reported. Faced with the situation, the government decided to instate new restrictions and measures starting from January 3, 2022. Here is what changes from this Monday:

In schools, the health protocol moves to the third level.

Facemask-wearing is compulsory in some public places from the age of 6 instead of 11 before.

Isolation rules are relaxed.
