Over the past hours, the Ukrainian blue and yellow flag has been displayed everywhere on social networks, but also on several buildings in big cities, especially as the Berlin Brandeburg Gate or the Reykjavik Harpa in Iceland. In France, Paris City Hall adorned the colors of the Ukrainian flag on Wednesday evening, as Vladimir Putin acknowledged on Monday evening the independence of Ukraine’s pro-Russian separatists.
This February 25, we were told another major landmark in Paris was to soon sparkle in yellow and blue: the Eiffel Tower. In a release, the Sete announced the Parisian monument will be lit in the colors of Ukraine this Friday from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., for three nights in a row, namely until Sunday night included. A symbolical action decided "upon request" from Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo "as a way to show support to the Ukrainian people", the Sete stated in the release.
For the record, the elected socialist mayor took part this Thursday evening in the gathering held to support the Ukrainian people on the Place de la Répiblique in Paris. On the occasion, Anne Hidalgo let people know the Eiffel Tower will adorn the colors of Ukraine in the coming days.

More French monuments are said to adorn the colors of the Ukrainian flag, like the Amiens City Hall. Adorned in blue and yellow since February 24th, the monument will be lit with the colors of the Ukrainian flag until February 28th.
