Before the Incas, the exhibition of the Musée du Quai Branly
With its exhibition Before the Incas, the Musée du Quai Branly reveals the story of societies now forgotten which inhabited Peru and the Andes Mountains 1,500 years ago. Ceramic and wooden items, gold jewels, ornaments and emblems, over 300 objects are brought together to display the key influence Andean societies had on the following civilizations, including Incas.
Hermès à tire d’aile
For one months, Hermès takes over Paris Grand Palais with a lovely exhibition called “A tire d’aile”. Throughout this beautiful exhibition running from November 8 to December 3, 2017, Maison Hermès pays homage to Hermès window display designer from 1978 to 2013, Leïla Menchari, by reconstructing 8 window displays in the galleries of the Parisian monument.
Patrice Chéreau, the exhibition at the Opera library-museum
located within the Opera Garnier, the Opera library-museum dedicates a wonderful exhibition to stage director Patrice Chéreau (1944-2013). Entitled “Mettre en scène l’opéra” [Staging opera], this exhibition returns on the special features of staging when designed for opera. To be visited from November 18, 2017 to March 3, 2018.
Marie Curie, first woman at the Panthéon
This fall 2017, the Panthéon celebrates Marie Curie’s career, a female scientist buried at the Panthéon, through a temporary exhibition. A few meters from the scientist’s vault, scientific tools, original documents and belongings tell the impressive story of this woman who changed the world. Meteorites at the Muséum National d’Histoire naturelle
Within the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution of the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, a beautiful exhibition about meteorites is held alongside dinosaurs’ skeletons.
