When it comes to Olympic Games, the United-States do everything to get a step ahead of everyone else. First Olympic delegation to decided where to settle their basecamp to get ready for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, Team USA chose to storm the Centre des hautes performances sportives du Val-d'Oise (Val D’Oise high sporting performance center), in Eaubonne.
An official decision announced this Thursday March 5, 2020 by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the authorities of the Val d’Oise sport center, with the members of the Olympic Games Organizing Committee. This decision follows many visits from Team USA members these past few months. All in all, some 1200 American athletes are said to come to the center by July 24, 2024 – Paris 2024 Olympics opening day.
Moreover, the sport center is ideally set, a dozen kilometers from the upcoming Olympic village in Seine-Saint-Denis. Today, the CDFAS covers 7 hectares and claims 250,000 people come yearly to practice sports divided into three regional hope fields: basketball, athletics and handball.
Featuring a covered athletics tracks, new gyms and performing medical devices, the center was one of the most coveted by other Olympic delegations. At the same time. The center is said to enjoy by 2022 a new 1500sqm building. An extension that will double the accommodation capacity and house a sporting regeneration center. No doubt, Val d’Oise already seems to be the big winner of the preparation for Paris 2024 Summer Olympics!
