On Museums Night 2017, the Musée des Arts et Métiers welcomes curious children and adults within the museum’s rooms dedicated to inventions of all times.
A night tour at the crossroad of arts and sciences, this evening is an invitation to move and to be moved along with Ulysse Lacoste, an artist invited at the Musée des Arts et Métiers throughout the season.
Following the Laboratoire du mouvement (Movement laboratory) and its Module Alpha, a monumental portable sculpture that will welcome visitors as soon as they arrive. Ulysse Lacoste keeps exploring moving forms. His moving works of art flatter the museum’s animated geometric models during two-voice demonstrations.
Along the collections, let yourself be "hypnotized" by Foucault pendulum swings making you see the Earth turning. You will fly away aboard flying machines chasing Icarus’ dream, electrified by human ingenuity’s sparkles and blown away by demonstrations escaped from the past. Inventors will tell their secrets thanks to the investigation-game for 7-12 years old children and their parents, set through a path full of surprising discoveries.
Enjoy an incredible night, driven by mechanical melodies making you dance all through the night!
