The Louvre's free days are always a success and after closing for months because of Covid, tickets for Museums Night will be hard to get. In 2018, before the museums set up gauges, the Louvre attracted 15,000 visitors for Museums Night (to give you an idea).
A lot of people came over to see Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, The Wedding Feast at Cana by Veronese, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Venus de Milo, Liberty Leading the People by Delacroix, The Raft of the Medusa by Géricault without forgetting the atmosphere in the Cour Marly and Cour Puget.
All these works of art will be visible for free for Museums Night. The lucky people holding a ticket can enjoy mini 20-minute shows in the 8 main parts of the museum all evening long!
This will also be the last weekend to enjoy the "Ascent of the Artist" exhibition focusing on the debuts of the art position, when at the Renaissance, artists are no longer craftsmen or craftswomen but can claim a special status!
