Museums Night 2018 at Paris Centre Pompidou

The Centre Pompidou takes part in Museums Night 2018 and invites us to discover its collection for free through tours guided by the youngest ones!

The Centre Pompidou will remain open for a night you will remember… How come? European Museums Night, in which, the museum takes part, held on Saturday May 19, 2018. From the Forum to the Studio 13/16, without forgetting the floor featuring the modern art collection, this visiting night is a unique and exceptional occasion to discover the Centre Pompidou with a new eye.

On the menu, tours of course, but an animation likely to please the greatest number: a tour of the Museum provided by the pupils of “La Classe, l’Oeuvre”, with children from fifth grade and seventh grade from schools in Paris 20th arrondissement who become one-night cultural speakers. Skits, sketches, dance… each pupil, on his own or with a group, interprets his own way his vision of a work displayed at the Centre Pompidou, a work he chose and on which he worked all year long.

The access to the temporary exhibition remains charged all night long, for those who would like to roam around and discover the Russian Avant-Garde through works by Chagall, Lissitsky and Malevitch, for example.
