Nuit des Musées 2024 at the Château de Fontainebleau (77): free tours and nocturnal festival

Every year, the Nuit des Musées invites us to (re)discover our beautiful Parisian and Ile-de-France heritage. For this 20th edition, we invite you to join us on Saturday, May 18, 2024, for nocturnal visits often enriched byoriginal activities. On this occasion, we invite you to unravel the mysteries ofone of Île-de-France's most beautiful châteaux: the Château de Fontainebleau.

With over 1,500 rooms set in 130 hectares of parkland and gardens, the Château de Fontainebleau is the only royal and imperial château to have been continuously inhabited for seven centuries. To visit the Château de Fontainebleau is to benefit from an exceptional presentation of French history, art and architecture. Here, you'll pass through corridors that have seen the greatest princes and dukes come and go, and remain in the state in which Napoleon III and Eugenie left them!

The château's collections include some 30,000 works of art from the ^16th to the ^19th century, many of which can be admired in the château's historic apartments, the Musée Napoléon^I, the Galerie de Peintures, the Galerie de Meubles and the Musée Chinois.

The program for Nuit des Musées 2024 at the Château de Fontainebleau :

• Nuit des musées
  As part of the "Alors on danse?" Festival, the Leila Ka company will perform a choreographic show, in partnership with the Théâtre Municipal de Fontainebleau. On the occasion of Museum Night, the château will be open all evening.
  Saturday May 18, 7pm to midnight (last admission 11.15pm)
  The château and the performance are free of charge.
