The gospel music of the Total Praise Mass Choir returns to the Place de la Bastille in Paris on Wednesday June 21, 2023 for the 41st Fête de la Musique.

The 41st edition of the Fête de la musique. Join us on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 throughout Paris and the Île-de-France region for a host of free concerts.

What is the Fête de la musique, anyway? Launched in France in 1982, the Fête de la Musique is a popular, festive and free event designed to give a voice to budding musicians and novice groups. Held on the day of the summer solstice, i.e. every June 21, the Fête de la Musique is an opportunity to discover up-and-coming young artists, whatever their musical style (rap, rock, classical music, jazz, blues, electro, reggae, French variety...). So there's something for everyone on the day!

While many concerts are held in the street, some events also take place in parks, squares and gardens, museums, institutions and churches, not forgetting bars, cafés and restaurants.

In Paris, there's no shortage of good music venues, and every district is on the same wavelength. If you live in the east of the capital, then head for the legendary Place de la Bastille. Once again this year, this legendary Parisian square is hosting a number of concerts, including a Japanese drumming concert, as well as a major gospel concert by the Total Praise Mass Choir.

Join us on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 8pm on the Place de la Bastille to experience the very best in Gospel music!

Fête de la musique 2023 on the Place de la Bastille, the program

The Paris Gospel Festival brings you the Fête de la Musique Gospel: a major gospel concert on the Place de la Bastille with Total Praise Mass Choir. A powerful combination of harmony and power, Total Praise Mass Choir is the largest gospel group in France, with up to 200 singers and musicians.

Founded in 2001 by David & Jocelyne Goma, standard-bearers of the Paris Gospel Festival, the Total Praise Mass Choir has built its reputation with some of the greatest artists in American gospel: Kirk Franklin, Richard Smallwood, Shirley Caesar, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, Karen Clark-Sheard, Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp, Yolanda Adams, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kierra Sheard...

On each occasion, Total Praise Mass Choir performs each of its repertoires, offering audiences an unforgettable musical experience. A regular fixture in Parisian concert halls, Total Praise Mass Choir had already taken over the Place de la Bastille last year for the Fête de la Musique. Given its success, the choir is repeating the experience in 2023.

On June 21, starting at 8pm, come and dance to the songs performed by Total Praise Mass Choir in Paris!
