That's why we've decided to help you in your quest for the best ticket to the 42nd Fête de la musique on Friday June 21, 2024 !

If you like to discover new musical talent while traveling, then head for the Irish Cultural Centre. As it does every June 21, the establishment awaits young and old alike in its courtyard, to give them the chance to experience a unique, exotic and warm Fête de la musique.

Inaugurated in 2002, the Centre culturel irlandais (CCI) is located in the Collège des Irlandais, the former home of a large Irish community of priests, seminarians and lay students, whose origins date back to 1578.

Nestled in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, the CCI houses a media library where the more curious can find a selection of books on the history of the place. Throughout the year, the Irish Cultural Center also offers a wide range of events, including meetings, exhibitions, shows and concerts.

Fête de la musique 2024 at the Irish Cultural Centre: the program

Lemoncello
Behind Lemoncello are Laura Quirke and Claire Kinsella. Both singers and musicians, these two artists infuse their melodies with tasty touches of traditional, pop, jazz, classical music and even French chanson. This Fête de la Musique at the Centre culturel irlandais will be an opportunity to discover their new compositions.

Bog Bodies
Hailing from Tipperary, Bog Bodies, led by Dan Maher, released their debut album, "Reclaim the Ritual", in 2022. Their style? Using several instruments (guitar, banjo, bodhrán, flute, harmonium...), their songs evoke mythology and ancestral lands, while incorporating contemporary issues.

Strange Boy
Originally from Limerick, Strange Boy combines traditional music and hip-hop. In 2021, he released his first album, "Holy / Unholy". Success was not long in coming. Two years later, Strange Boy won the prestigious Liam O'Flynn Award. For his first concert in France, Strange Boy will be accompanied by no less than seven outstanding traditional musicians, and his unique performance is sure to be a highlight of this year's Fête de la Musique at the CCI!
