Faubourg Saint-Honoré celebrates the Chinese New Year

Paris Faubourg Saint-Honoré celebrates the Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) with decorations and a wonderful dance of lions and dragons. Don’t miss this festive event on Friday February 16, 2018.

Paris 13th arrondissement isn’t the only place celebrating the Chinese New Year. Head to the 8th arrondissement, in Faubourg Saint-Honoré, to joyfully celebrate the coming of the year of the Earth Dog.

From February 9 to 23, to mark the passage, two giant lit doors take place in tribute to China, on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and Rue Royale.

On February 16, the very date of the Chinese New Year, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., a spectacular revue of lions and dragons dancing on traditional rhythms will parade in the whole Faubourg Saint-Honoré, for the greatest happiness of passersby. About thirty artists, colorful characters and drummers will give body to this rhythmed and wild cortege! And the icing on the cake, you’ll attend a free distribution of Fortune Cookies.

For Paris 8th arrondissement Mayor Mrs Jeanne d’Hauteserre – accompanied by Comité du Faubourg Saint-Honoré chairman Benjamin Cymerman, this will be the occasion to come and greet the members of the committee.
