This year, the Comité du Faubourg Saint-Honoré is once again celebrating Chinese New Year and in particular Lunar New Year 2024 with a colorful parade this Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

Lunar New Year, commonly known as Chinese New Year, takes place this year on 2024. It celebrates the arrival of the Year of the Wooden Dragon, symbolizing vigor and vitality. For the occasion, Paris is taking part in the festivities: some districts are decked out in traditional decorations, restaurants are busy preparing special menus, and events are multiplying in the capital.

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the Comité Faubourg Saint-Honoré will be hosting a colorful parade. Asian traditions and folklore will take center stage, as lions, lanterns and dragons take over the Parisian streets in a whirlwind of shimmering colors. For the occasion, some thirty artists take over the Faubourg Saint-Honoré with their colourful characters and percussionists to give the parade even more rhythm.

The event takes place in the 8th arrondissement of Paris at 1.30pm, at the corner of Faubourg Saint-Honoré and rue Royale. Between 1:30 and 3:30 pm, some 30 artists from the Paris Lion Sport group, dressed in bright costumes and masters of percussion, will enliven this festive and lively procession. This exotic parade of mythical lions and dragons, symbols of nobility and good fortune, will stroll to the sound of traditional rhythms, to our great delight.

This free event, open to all, celebrates the Lunar New Year and Chinese New Year 2024 in style!
