The Lunar New Year 2022 lands on February 1st! Asian tradition and flavor fans, get ready for two weeks of festivities in the streets, and Paris restaurants, to celebrate the New Year in China, as well as Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
At Plan D – the fantastic location for vegan sandwiches in the 10th arrondissement – they celebrate the Vietnamese New Year called Têt, paying tribute to the Vietnamese background of one of the Plan D bosses, Alice Tuyet.
On the occasion, from January 30 to February 13, 2022, Plan D releases a never-before-seen and temporary banh-mi likely to make the greatest gastronomes of you travel. For those who do not know what a banh-mi is, then it is one of the most famous dishes in the Vietnamese cuisine!
At Plan D, it is served warm and 100% plant-based, and this is fantastic! Inside, peanut and panko-coated tofu, carrots and cucumbers marinated in rice vinegar, sesame-roasted pak choi, sweet red chili pepper pickles, lime Kewpie-inspired homemade mayonnaise, homemade syrupy BBQ sauce but Asian style with brown miso, and of course, loads of fresh cilantro.
Allow €10 for the banh-mi alone, and €14 the set-menu with banh-mi, side and drink, to enjoy on site at the counter or on-the-go to have it along the Canal Saint-Martin, in the sun, or you can get it delivered to your door!
Happy Lunar New Year to you all!
