As usual, the Musée du Luxembourg makes the best of this art celebration to provide a late-night opening to all, without any exception: a wonderful occasion to visit the Musée du Luxembourg and its wonderful exhibition devoted to the British Painting from the 18th century, that has followed the creation of the Royal Academy of Arts!
We discover 68 works exhibited by Gainsborough, Reynolds, Blake and Stubbs, as well as by Henri Fuseli, John Martin and J.MW. Turner displayed in a beautiful exhibition taking us to the London o the 1760’s, and a very special spirit since for the White Night 2019, the museum as invited the Orchestre et Choeur de l’ESSEC.
This band – created in 2013 – is open to all the music-playing students of ESSEC Cergy. On the occasion, they’ll perform music by Joseph Haydn who went to London a lot between 1791 and 1795 and wrote some of his most famous symphonies there.
