The Musée des Arts et Métiers is being all li-up on White Night 2020 thanks to a magic lamp designed by Winter Story in The Wild Jungle. This Saturday October 3, 2020, in the evening, over 150 drawings will be projected on the façade of the museum.

For its second participation to the White Night, the Musée des Arts et Métiers has decided to shine a light on a magic lamp and on phantasmagoria and to do so, it invited Winter Story In The Wild Jungle. They came up with over 150 drawings, an "exquisite corpse" that will be projected with a big magic lamp, ancestor of the slide projector. The system enables to project pictures painted on glass boards through a lense, thanks to a candle or an oil lamp.

Unfortunately, the Musée des Arts et Métiers will be closed. You will have to come back to enjoy its industrial and technologic collection in the world including the Aeroplane, also known as Avion III by Clément Ader (1897), the Foucault pendulum (1851), Pascal’s arithmetic machine (1642-1652), Lavoisier’s gasometer (1830), the model of the first sewing machine by Thimonnier (1830), as well as the model of “Telstar 1” telecommunication satellite and other technic and technologic innovations from the 20th century.
