It’s the highlight of the White Night 2019 in Paris: a great procession with 15 artistic floats between the Concorde and the Bastille, with marching bands, dancers and artists who will “paint the town red” from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., according to Didier Fusillier. Crazy art lovers will be able to follow the floats for 3 mad hours and the night will take a new turn with an “exclusive” finale scheduled at 11 p.m. by Groupe F.
If Groupe F doesn’t ring a bell, this French company has been delighting us with the Bastille Day fireworks on July 14 in Paris, as well as the Marie-Antoinette show in Versailles, a great visual experience with performers, dancers, video-mapping, fire effects and fireworks.
For the record, Marie-Antoinette show looked like this:
The show is said to “pay tribute to the revolutionary people from 1830 and 1848 and a light show around the Colonne de Juillet”, which remains quite vague.
So, we asked Paris city Hall culture deputy Christophe Girard if it would be a firework and he implied that it would be a pyrotechnic show like we know. And Didier Fusillier added: “we can’t have a traditional firework because the Place de la Bastille will be closed, it will be nebulous”. Let’s wait and see!
