Cooling off in Paris this summer

Heatwave alert in Paris! It’s hot in Paris, very hot, and in our own corner we looked the best spots to cool off in Paris. Movie theaters, swimming pools, beaches as well as bars and restaurants, we offer you the best of what Paris has to give in the summer.

This summer in Paris will be hot, even scorching so much that we can’t stand AC-less public transits.

Goodbye sunny terraces that make us sweat to death and warm up our glasses of wine in two seconds top, goodbye parks where the heat is so much present the Paris authorities advise us to go by night… In other words, summer in Paris, when it’s over 27°C (80.6°F), it’s far from being heaven!

BNF
The Bibliothèque National de France or BNF houses a lovely and free exhibition devoted to video artist Michel Jaffrennou. Called “Jouer avec la vidéo” [Playing with video], it’s displayed until September 2, 2018 in the Galerie des Donateurs on the François-Mitterand site (Paris 13th arrondissement). And since there’s an A/C, it’s the perfect spot to hide.

And if you are close to a heatstroke, Paris authorities set up an application, Extrema Paris, that lists over 800 fresh places in the capital that are charged AND free allowing you all to cool down! Set up by Météo France and Santé Publique France, Extrema Paris indicates the freshest places in Paris in almost real time (every 5 minutes), so that you can know where to go.
