Hikes and Grand Paris get along. In Paris, for the summer 2021, go and discover the Greater Paris metropolis! Enlarge your Paris and Société du Grand Paris organize an 11-day street walk cycle around the upcoming Grand Paris Express lines. From August 19 to 29, 2021, the Tour Piéton du Grand Paris offers us to explore the limits of the growing metropolis.

Furthermore, this Tour du Grand Paris by foot invites participants to know more about it mixing culture, landscapes, and nature. The idea of this never-before-seen cycle of urban hikes is to make walkers think for pedestrians from the Greater Paris. The two partners regularly invite hiking and urban walk fans around the Grand Paris Express line route.

In all, since 2018, about 1,000km have been walked by 3,000 curious people from all over Île-de-France. Dozens of urban and cultural venues have been visited and it is far from being over! For the 2nd edition of the Tour Piéton du Grand Paris, discover greater Paris landscapes like the former Plaine des Vertus around Aubervilliers and the Plaine Saint-Denis, canals, forests in western Paris, and the Seine and Saclay and Hurepox plateau. All along the 180-km loop, you are accompanied by experts (urbanist, geographer, botanist) or artists so they can share their look on the metropolis and its spaces.

At the same time, participants can discover cultural and agricultural places that will be part of the Greater Paris such as the Vive les Groues wilderness in Nanterre, or the Ateliers Médicis in Clichy-sous-Bois. The goal is to create a relationship and explore the most beautiful natural areas around the upcoming Greater Paris metro and draw a green belt of parks, gardens, rivers, and forest that can be accessed through public transit, by foot or bicycle. So, what are you expecting? Let us go on an adventure in the Greater Paris!
