You might think that in the middle of summer when all the Parisians take off on vacation, the city is devoid of cultural events...but think again!
Between the music festivals, dance shows, street and sports events for the whole family, Paris is overflowing with fun things to do, so much so that the Parisians that stay in the region and the tourists that visit don’t know where to begin.
Take Paris Plage. This year, Paris Plage is back from July 8 to September 3, 2018, with many novelties: the coming of Paris Plages on the left bank and a huge swimming pool in the La Villette Bassin as well as water misters along the banks.
Not far from here, Ete du Canal already puts on a show near the Canal de l’Ourcq. Also, from July 7 to August 26, many activities are proposed to youngest visitors such as dance, shows and even nautical activities in the north of Paris.
You can also pay a visit to Parc André Citroën to run in the park water jets. This year, we also run to the water mirror set in Place de la République or the fountains of the Champs-de-Mars or even the Ile aux Brumes on the Seine riverbanks that sprays water intermittently.
For parents, let’s go to the Jardin d’Acclimatation Garden-Beach for water games and many other games.
Listening to some music:
In terms of concerts, the Fnac Live Festival is back for a new and 4th edition that is as full as the previous ones. On the menu? Four evenings of free concerts, to be discovered in front of the Hôtel de Ville.
In 2018, the famous American festival Lollapalooza comes to Hippodrome de Longchamp on Saturday July 21 and Sunday July 22. The lineup? Depeche Mode, Gorillaz, The Killers, Diplo, Noel Gallagher, Stereophonics and even Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Kasabian!
For a committed festival in Paris, we go to Solidays on Friday June 22, Saturday June 23 and Sunday June 24, 2018 for a new edition that is as exceptional as the previous ones, with David Guetta, Shaka Ponk, Nekfeu as well as Roméo Elvis, Polo & Pan and even IAM, Jain and Camille…
Let’s end with Rock En Seine that takes over the Domaine National du Parc de Saint Cloud from August 24 to 26, with many concerts planned such as Liam Gallagher, Charlotte Gainsbourg, PLK, Insecure Men and even Theo Lawrence And The Hearts…
For the night owls, Sortiraparis cooked you a little guide of places where you can dance this summer! So that you can make the right call to spend top-notch evenings.
Outing and relaxing:
For film enthusiasts, this summer is also devoted to open-air movies. Let’s not give it a second thought, it’s free and it’s great! Under the stars in Saint-Cloud, at La Villette or throughout Paris, we love it!
Finally, if you think that summer rhymes with lazing in the sun on a terrace or having lunch on the grass around a nice picnic with a good book or even discovering an unusual restaurant, for others it’s time to spend money, try the joy of tree-climbing, climbing and even pony rides.
In other words, many ideas to be discovered!
