How about some Polynesian sun in Paris? To escape from the daily Parisian life, the Mona Loa bubble set on the rooftop of the Oxygen La Défense area invites us from February to April 2020 to travel with crazy-Tiki cocktails and an exotic menu.
From Monday to Friday between 5 p.m. and 1 a.m., come and treat yourself to a tropical break! While the cold and grey weather have taken over the French capital, the Mona Loa bubble offers an invasion of hibiscus-printed shirts in a décor made of wicker chairs and reggae dub music. No doubt, rum will flow! Speaking of drinks, we find rather wild Tiki cocktails to sip at peace.
Based on almond hemp syrup or fresh pineapple juice, you can enjoy the taste of rum mixed with hazelnut butter. Without forgetting the Mona Loa’s special creation: a cocktail based on CBD cordial! Well, the colorful and exotic cocktail list definitely whets our mouths and puts a flower necklace around our necks.
Craving more? Let’s have a pizza! The Marco Marco pizzeria – behind the installation – provides on the occasion some laid-back Italian food. And of course, since it’s prepared by one of the best pizzerias in Europe Louie Louie and Marco Marco, we’re not worried about the quality of the menu. And when we know that both restaurants belong to the Liquid Corp group – creators of super cocktail bars Dirty Dick Bluebird and Octopus – we don’t give any second thought!
Between jalapenos pickles, coconut cream and experimental pizzas cooked on woodfire Waikiki style, you can be sure to travel to exotic lands. We love the very soft prices such as pizzas between €6 and €10 and cocktails for maximum €13. So now, you only have to pack and go!
