Created in the USA in the 70’s, hip hop culture arrived in France in the 80’s; breakdance is one of its expressions. Without forgetting that this urban sport is now one of the newest discipline to be featured during the Olympics 2024!
Over time, France managed to find its spot on the international breakdance scene thanks to the quality of its shows and the emergence of French dancers who made it to the top, alongside international dancers.
Created in 2000, Battle Pro Festival has been for several years the unmissable breakdance show in the world. It’s coming back in February 2020 for a wild edition at the Théâtre du Châtelet. The occasion for the freshly renovated theater to celebrate a national competition focusing on street cultures.
This championship will bring the greatest French dancers as well as dancers from all over the world, that will be judged by a world-famous jury panel according to different categories: battle 8 vs 8 international, baby battle for people under 12 and finally the 1 vs 1 international.
Moreover, the night will be paced by many MC’s and international DJs that will make the link between championship moments and the different shows provided!
In other words, THE evening you don’t want to miss if you’re a dancer or a street culture lover!
