On November 10, 2019, Saint-Witz will become the theater of the first “Air Cuisine” World Championship, under the watchful eye of a jury panel including Meilleurs Ouvriers de France [aka MOF or Best Workers in France in English], renown professionals and gastronomes.

We thought we only knew air guitar, air drumming and the Airnadette band, but now, discover the Air Cuisine! On November 10, 2019 Saint-Witz in the Val d'Oise department, will welcome the first Air Cuisine World Championship!

Let’s walk you through the principle. On stage, the candidate has to mimic the moves to make a fictional recipe or a recipe step in front of a jury who will assess him or her and try to guess what it is. Basically, it’s all about mimicking the technical moves of a cook but without any utensil nor ingredient. How original!

But careful, it’s a serious discipline as the jury chairman is no other than Meilleur Ouvrier de France Pâtissier 1993 Philippe Urraca.

The rest of the jury panel includes Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, renown professionals and gastronomes: Bagnard restaurant chef Yoni Saada, MOF Cuisinier 2015 Benoît Nicolas, MOF Charcutier-traiteur 1983 Jacques Henrio, La Chapelle en Serval E.Leclerc manager Jean-Marc Sauret, Drama and movement analysis teacher François Lecoq, graphic designer Corine Guilpain and last but not least SucréCacao pastry chef James Berthier.

And if you want to sign up to participate to the first Air Cuisine World Championship, you only have to visit Air Cuisine website!
