Music lovers, we have some good news! The American festival Lollapalooza launched in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction leader, Perry Farrell, is coming to France in 2018.
Seen as one of the biggest festivals in the world, gathering over 120,000 festival goers per day in Chicago each summer, Lollapalooza has been created in the United States in the early 90’s. After a break from 1998 to 2003, the musical event returns in 2005 in Chicago.
Buoyed by this success, in 2011 Lollapalooza won over Santiago, Chili, São Paulo, Brazil, in 2012 before coming to Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2014.
But, the festival did not stop here since it even reached Berlin, Germany, in 2015.
In 2017, Lollapalooza came to France, in Paris, for its very first edition. Facing the success, the event is coming back to Paris Hippodrome de Longchamp on Saturday July 21 and Sunday July 22, 2018 with an explosive lineup!
In 2017, after welcoming for two days and on four stages the Californian Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Canadian The Weeknd, the British Liam Gallagher and the French IAM and La Femme, who will have the honor to rock the edition 2018? Well, some heavy names are here including Depeche Mode!
Gorillaz will also be in, so are The Killers, Diplo, Noel Gallagher, Stereophonics, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Kasabian.
Let’s recall that back in Chicago, the American festival welcomed artists such as Rage Against The Machine, Radiohead, Sonic Youth, Metallica, Cypress Hill, Pearl Jam and more recently, Lana Del Rey, Major Lazer, Foals, Paul McCartney, Florence And The Machine, Eminem, Arctic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon…
