The 2020 edition of Lollapalooza Paris could not take place last year and therefore has been postponed to 2021.
Artists scheduled in 2020 confirmed they will come this year, on July 17 and 18, 2021 like Pearl Jam. But this was without including the recent governmental statements about the summer festivals and their limited capacity to 5,000 seated festivalgoers.
2021 Summer Festivals: festivals to be limited to 5,000 seated festivalgoers and in the open air
As better days are coming, many people are wondering if this summer’s major festivals will take place as scheduled or not. Following a new meeting with festival promotors, minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot said open air festivals will only be allowed with maximum 5,000 festivalgoers. Furthermore, festivalgoers will have to be seated. Here is more on the matter.
Even though some festivals decided to adapt to new measures, others have had no other choice but give up, such as Hellfest and Garorock. Lollapalooza Paris has also decided to cancel and postpone the edition 2021.
"Due to the current uncertainties, Paris will not be held this year. We're missing the Lolla magic more than ever, and are looking forward to getting back next year on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17, 2022. We are also happy to confirm that Pearl Jam will be back to perform in 2022 on Sunday, July 17", promoters shared on social networks.
